One of you plans and one of you goes along, and neither of you resents it. On every other axis you're identical. This is the smoothest configuration in the whole set — the division of labour is settled and nothing else needs negotiating.

Your photo is never stored. To draw you, the image model has to see you — so the photo goes to our server and on to the model over an encrypted connection, lives in memory for that one request, and is discarded. Nothing is written to a database, file store, or log.
The only copy we keep, we can't read. If you send an invite, one copy is encrypted in your browser and held for 24 hours so your friend can complete the pair. The key travels only inside the link you send — browsers never transmit it to us — so we hold a blob we have no key for.
